Visit to the vet

Silly dad turned off the modem before I could publish my blog and I thought I lost everything. Mum was really upset and disappointed so sweet Jimi wanted to make her feel better by writing this on my behalf (remember I got a sore foot so I can't type real quick).

Jimi's Version of what happened...

Yesterday is had ow ow and mummy and daddy didn't know what it was. I was screaming in pain if anyone touched my in my sore spot.Luckerly i had the loving support from mummy, daddy, jimi and ky and i'm getting better already. We got to watch a movie in the people's bed(and i got to sit on mummy"s lap right through the movie).I think(which made my brain hert)that i am getting so much love so far and am going to need to get some rest.which i am finding it uncomfertable to rest becuse of my pain.Today i had to go to the vet and i had a doctor called dr lee.My wifey had to come along to support me which i think was nice of her (that was unusual).

A Visit to the Vet

It's hard to be a Monte.... Last night, whilst Jimi's was lifting me up from his lap before we all settle down to watch a movie in bed, I squeal twice. Mum rushed over and had a look at me and I had to let mum know what was wrong. My back leg was hurting and mum initially thought it might be my dew claws. However, it wasn't (I'll explain more later). The only good thing that came out of it was I got to sleep on mum's lap (the boys didn't get to share me... keke) through the whole movie. Mum and dad was worried about hurting me further if I slept with them that night so I had to sleep alone in my own squeezy and tiny bed just beside the big human bed. That was not very nice for me. I've never slept away from my parents for a long time and it didn't feel too right. I heard mum and dad discussing about bringing me to the vet in the morning but as it's Sunday, there might not be any open. The boys, especially Ky was very worried about me. He even cried and dad had to comfort him and tell him that I will be ok soon. Ky, I will be alright soon! I promise!

Ouch.... I am in such agony that I can't even go to toilet. As you would know, I am a real man so I need to lift my leg to pee but I am in such pain that i can't even stand or walk. After standing in the cold with me for about 10 mins, mum thought of an ingenious idea. Since I like to mark when I am outside, why not make use of that opportunity to let me go toilet? So mum took me to the front yard and put me near the pole. Unble to resist the temptation to mark my territory, I hobble and did a really quick pee before the pain overtook me and I flopped onto the ground.

Waking up early in the middle of the night, dad did the same for me. This allowed me to relieve myself. I am so fortunate to have such a loving dad who goes the extra way for me. I love you, dad! U rock!

As soon as it's 9am on Sunday morning, mum started ringing around for any available vets. There is none open on a Sunday so after a quick discussion, they decided that I needed to go to Emergency (which costs a lot of money).

The vet was able to get me in an hour later. Being at the vet was a terrifying experience. He did a check over and touched my sore leg. Dr Lee (was his name) said that my back ankle is inflamed and swollen. When he touched me, I squealed with such pain that it upsets everyone that was there. Dr Lee couldn't tell if I fractured my knee but he can't have an xray done till Tue anyway so he did his best. He gave me an anti- inflamatory injection to help bring my swelling down and my oh my... just a quick consultation with the vet caused mum more than $100! While I was there, Dr Lee did a quick check at my teeth to make sure I don't have any baby teeth still left in my mouth while my adult ones grew out of the same spot (Sooty had to have 5 extracted because hers didn't fall off naturally). I've got such perfect set of teeth that I could do an ad for COLGATE! After that, it's a ride home and lots of rest for me.

Hang on.... I heard the people getting ready to go out. I think they're going to the Begonia Festival. I am going to check that out to see if I'm coming along! See you guys.
