Goodbye Trudy!

Life sometimes takes an unexpected turn when you least expect it. Dad's friend, Trudy left us on Sunday morning at around 5am. Trudy has been sick in the hospital for about 2 weeks and it started with her liver starting to fail. When she was admitted, her other organs started to fail too. Her heart was too weak for an operation and eventually, her lungs started to fill up with fluid. It's heartbreaking to see her in so much pain so her departure wasn't exactly a bad thing. Daddy is one of Trudy's closest friend so dad is left with the task of being the executor of her will as well as organising her funeral. A lot of jobs for my already busy daddy. However, dad took it all in his stride and is doing really well organising everything. I really admire him.

Not only is the organising of the funeral a part of his task, he also has to clean up her belongings and pass them onto the people she requests to leave her asset to. That is a big job in itself. Cleaning up the house, packing the stuff and the afterwards procedures. On top of that, there's the tight schedule to adhere to and our own packing and moving to do with the new house. Keep your chin up, daddy! I love you.

Well, updates about the house. We got a new building supervisor and he's a bit like me. Not knowing much about things and not being able to keep up to date with stuff. Mum asks him if all the building materials had arrived and his response was, "What building material"? Arh... even I can figure that bit out. I hope that the house will still complete in time for Oma discipline to see it. I left my first mark on our property on sat. I am the man!

Anyway, dad has written a beautiful eulogy for Trudy's memorial service. Rest in peace, Trudy! Thank you for enriching our life.
