It is a count down of less tha 6 weeks to Christmas and this period is what mum and dad dreads the most. They're both hectic at work and is committed to working long hours. Furthermore, Sooty decided to come on heat right at this moment (it was supposed to be in around Jan). It is giving mum and dad the headache and they're considering giving me a snip (actually more like they've booked me in). However, oma Singapore feels very strongly about me getting the snip so I might be able to escape this time. Not sure yet how things will pan out. Right now, mum and dad has to do a lot of juggling to ensure that Sooty and I are not together. Sooty even gets to sleep on her own in the spare room... Hmm... a queen bed all on her own and she is not complaining about that.
However, because of her heat, Sooty's behaviour (alright, including mine) is a bit erratical at the moment. We're trying to consumate our marriage all the time but mum and dad says NO!!! Not this time, Monte! However, today, I have a play date with a chihuahua cross pomeranian whose name is Tammy. She's on heat now and I might get a chance to score. Keke...
What else is happening in my life? Well, apart from my daily activities of eating, sleeping, playing with Kali, not much has been going on. We're quite settled in our new house and fortunately, mum and dad has the foresight of installing an airconditioner. We've had a bad heat wave for about a week and it is doing me a lot of harm. I don't cope well with the heat so mum took all of us to the groomers to get our fur trimmed. Sooty looks quite neat now while I look a bit funny. When mum first saw me after my haircut, she laughed at me so hard that it wounded my pride. I was so upset that i won't snuggle or kiss her for the rest of the day. But it doesn't take long for me to forgive mum. I love her to bits. The groomer did what she did because mum wanted my fur shorter and thinner but not so short or thin that it would affect my fur in the long term so the groomer (Carmen is her name) did her best. Now I am left with some bits that are not quite equal in length.
About my Kali. She is about 4 months old now (DOB is 26 of July) and she is a feisty little one. She bullies her mum and me a lot but mostly me because I let her get away with everything. We've been to obedience class and today will be our 4th week. Because Kali is a puppy, she is like a sponge who absorbs all the information. She is doing so well that even the instructors are impressed with her. Dad trains with her while mum trains with me. I think the both of us will graduate because we all try hard. Mum hasn't been taking any pics of my little girl lately so I hope she will start doing so soon. She is growing up quick! She is almost 3/4 of Sooty's size because she is not a fussy eater. I am so proud of my little girl. She looks indentical to Sooty. The only give away is the white marking on her chest. If not for that, I won't even know who is who? Sometimes mum gets mixed up when the both of them are sleeping next to each other. That is how close their size and everything is. Kali still has her puppy coat and Sooty's coat is quite short so you almost can't tell the difference.
Alright, I better go prim myself up for the date. I will let everyone know how I went! Wish me luck, guys!
